I am a Czech translator working full-time for various Czech translation agencies and online customers. I have been in the business since 2005. I translate technical, legal and accounting texts, web content, newspaper articles, and marketing/advertising content.

Projects I have worked on include industrial manuals, user guides, guidelines technical reports, legal contracts, public relations articles, audit or accounting reports, and other types of content intended for publication on the web or elsewhere. Most of them pertain to technical matters or engineering, covering areas such as information technology (IT), computers, networking, software, electronics, machinery, telecommunications, construction, Health&Safety, environment protection, and surveillance and monitoring systems.

I have graduated in Applied physics with specialization in instrumental physics and metrology. The study primarily focused on modern electronic and optical gauges, laser technology, IT, statistics, metrology, cybernetics, technical standardization (European and other standards), quality checking systems. My Diploma Thesis dealt with Mössbauer spectroscopy measurements on iron-containing samples.

Since shortly after graduation, I have been working for Czech translation agencies as a translator for technical projects.
