I am a French Translator based in Normandy, France. I translate from English and Japanese into French, and I have been working independently for 11 years. In addition to Translation, I have taught French and English as a foreign language and I also have 4 years of experience as a Translation Project Manager. After obtaining my Master’s degree in Translation from the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris, I left France to spend “one year” in Japan. One year turned into seven, and Japan became my second home. Life then brought me to the United States, and California became my third home. I recently moved back to France to be closer to family, but feel very fortunate to have had a home in each of my working language. Besides facilitating communication and the exchange of information, one of my favorite aspects of being a Translator is the opportunity for lifelong learning that the job provides. The diversity of the work and the challenges inherent to each project are also the perfect antidote to boredom. My main areas of specialization are: Healthcare, Medical Devices, Pharma, and Clinical Research; Travel and Tourism; Surveys, Questionnaires, and Market Research; International and Humanitarian Organizations. Additional fields of work include: Retail, General Business, General Legal, and Personal Documents. When not at my desk, I can usually be found enjoying the outdoors. |
