I just translated a short and straightforward docx in xtm and tried to generate an xliff (client request).
Have done this many times before, but for some reason xtm generates an xlf, which I cannot convert (and hence cannot open it in other CAT).
Any idea how to solve this?
Thank you!

Different CAT tools often have their own specific xliff formats May 6, 2016

Dear DPS,

XLIFF is an xml-based localization standard (.xlf file extension) common to all CAT tools.

Since XTM Cloud generates XLIFF files they should work just fine with any CAT tools. Dear DPS,

XLIFF is an xml-based localization standard (.xlf file extension) common to all CAT tools.

Since XTM Cloud generates XLIFF files they should work just fine with any CAT tools. On the other hand, there are similar file extensions which are specific to different CAT tools and incompatible with other software. It may be the case that the .xlf file generated by XTM is valid but you need to use a different file opening option in the other CAT (since it is not native to that specific CAT).

If you still believe the generated .xlf file is corrupted, please send it to [email protected] together with the project details, so that we can check this and respond to you promptly.

Yours sincerely,
