So here is the Call for Papers!

AUSIT2020: AUSIT2020: Business as Unusual (Online, November 20-21, 2020)

Due to current restrictions and continued uncertainties surrounding the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 AUSIT National Conference, which was due to be held in Perth  on 20-21 November this year, has now been moved online.

The focus of this year’s conference is on the challenges and opportunities opening up in this evolving T&I landscape, specifically during this time of insecurity and rapid change experienced by the profession in the past months.

The Organising Committee is calling for abstract submissions from a wide variety of interdisciplinary theoretical and practitioner perspectives. The submission deadline is 20 July 2020. Submissions are organised into the sub-streams listed below:

- Business during a pandemic
- New skills and professional requirements in interpreting and translating
- Adaptive business practices
- Remuneration and working conditions
- Remote interpreting
- Translation technologies
- Remote T&I education and training

The online presentations (either live or pre-recorded) will run for 50 mins with an additional 10 mins for Q&A. All presentations will be recorded by AUSIT.

Because of the complexity of putting the Conference Programme together and the large numbers of participants involved, it is not usually possible to accommodate requests for specific presentation days or times.

How to Submit Your Abstract:

Create an account: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ausit2020
Submit your abstract (maximum 250 words) by 20 July 2020. The abstract should include a title and keywords.
Submit a short biography and a photo of yourself.
Abstracts will undergo blind academic/peer review and results will be returned by 15 August 2020.
If your abstract is chosen, you will be notified via email and invited to register for the conference.
Upon payment and registration, you will receive a confirmation email including the official invitation to present.
