Hi guys,

I'm planning on changing my specialism to the Food & Drink Industry? I'm going to be targeting clients in hotels, restaurants, beverage suppliers, chefs, etc.

Just wondering if anyone else works specifically in this industry and has any advice?

My languages are FR/ES>EN.

Thanks a million!

Getting acquainted! Mar 26, 2019

Hey Jennie!

Although I haven't had the pleasure of working with the food & drink industry yet, I've previously worked with food importing companies before. It really wasn't that much of a deal but when I worked on these kinds of projects, I had to study a little bit of vaculary for food importing certificates. Hey Jennie!

Although I haven't had the pleasure of working with the food & drink industry yet, I've previously worked with food importing companies before. It really wasn't that much of a deal but when I worked on these kinds of projects, I had to study a little bit of vaculary for food importing certificates. They vary from country to country and it's always nice not to get caught by surprise when you think you're working with amazing food only to find out about all the red tape involved.

I think the clients you intend to target are spot-on. I would also recommend you to get acquainted with the contemporary food industry that we live in today, if you aren't already, of course. Youtube is full of wonderful channels that talk about food and drink in a nice way, that I believe would help you getting used to at least the kind of discourse used.

I totally recommend Vice's food segment, Munchies https://www.youtube.com/user/Munchies/featured

Eater also integrates food, drink and travelling very well https://www.youtube.com/user/eater1

You can also check First We Feast https://www.youtube.com/user/FirstWeFeast as well as
Bon Appétit https://www.youtube.com/user/BonAppetitDotCom and Food Insider https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwiTOchWeKjrJZw7S1H__1g

I would love to work with food as well, and I would love to learn more about you learned too.
Success to all of us!
