No reason. Just make up something. 我觉得Just make up something不是很贴切。

No reason, you could make up something.

NO Reason? A white lie would‘ve made it better

I like jyuan's suggestion.

"No reason? Even a white lie would be good!"

"No reason? Can't you even come up with some lame excuse?"

"No reason? You've got to do better than that!"

IMO there are multiple ways to handle this. The important thing though, is to convey how upset the woman was.

No reason? You have got to be kidding me!

No reason? Give me something even if you have to make it up!

Nothing? Let's hear something!

Why don't you turn on your TV? The Olympic relay in SFO is about to begin.

They are talking about the potential impact on other issues, like economic issues. This is getting ugly. Its not constructive at all.

San Francisco Olympic Torch Ceremony Apr 9, 2008

Well, that certainly was not what I expected. But at least I don't have to eat my words.

Burns; Faust Apr 10, 2008

Burns, I mentioned him before. He wrote another poem, 'Scotch Drink':
I like the part about the saints.

And the fellow who dances with the Devil, that's Faust.
