🙋🏻‍♀️Who am I?

I am Iria, an English-to-Spanish & Galician medical translator in Ferrol (a little green gem on the northwest coast of Spain) with a multidisciplinary university background in Biology and English Philology and a Master's degree in Medical Translation.

👩🏻‍💻What do I do?

I help companies to make their medical communications accessible to a Spanish-speaking audience.

That means translating documents and recognising and adapting the register, tone and terminology to clarify the information for patients, caregivers and families.

🎯What do I specialise in?

I like to describe myself as a patient-oriented specialist. I have more than six years of experience translating:

    - Informed Consent Forms

    - Patient Record Forms

    - Materials for patients (instructions, brochures, leaflets)

    - Questionnaires for patients, caregivers or physicians

    - Case Report Forms

    - Disease-Specific Programs

I have also experience conducting cognitive debriefing interviews to assess and validate patient report outcomes and working on the cultural adaptation of health questionnaires.
