I specialise in translation where a high standard of fluent and imaginative English is required. I am an experienced medical translator specialising in clinical trials. I have translated one novel that has been published in the UK and several historical and political texts that have also been published in the UK.  In 2015, I attended the Cunda Workshops for Translators of Turkish Literature organised by Boğaziçi University’s Department of Translation and Interpreting Studies, under the sponsorship of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.​ I was also a winner in the English PEN Translates literary translation competition in 2015 for my submission from the Ahmet Yorulmaz novel, Savaşın Çocukları, which was published in 2019 by Neem Tree Press. In 2018, I translated a short story for the Istanbul International Literary Festival. I am a member of the North West Translators Network, and professional member  (MITI) of the Institute of Translators and Interpretors. My English translation of  "Birey Nedir" by Professor Cem Eroğul was published by IB Tauris in 2022 (Marxism and the Individual).
