理解 May 23, 2016

wherestip wrote:

http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/us/definition/american_english/bimbo

informal
An attractive but empty-headed young woman, especially one perceived as a willing sex object.

所以,bimbo 多半性关系比较随便(loose morals,or willing sex objects)。

May 23, 2016

Fargoer,

Of course. In no way did I say that what I suggested were good translations, what I did say - although perhaps not in so many words - is that the meaning of having loose morals or being promiscuous has to be there. Otherwise the outrage towards the use of this term wouldn't really be justified, would it?

With that said, IMO, 浪荡女人 和 骚货 really aren't THAT injurious, or are they? I really don't recall them being THAT venomous in the old days.

Wherestip,

David Lin wrote:

May 24, 2016

Simple Definition of bimbo

: an attractive but stupid woman

2。 slang : tramp 1c [evidence of how her hubby's been cheating on her with various bimbos — Dan Greenburg]

May 24, 2016
